Everybody knows we need to rehearse more.
Lutefish gives your band another night. Plug in, play together for real, and get ready for your tightest gig ever.

Hear the difference for yourself.
Video conferencing lets musicians talk. Lutefish lets them play. When latency disrupts timing, rehearsals become conversations instead of music. Compare the two and hear why low latency matters.
How a band rehearses together from different cities
Everyone plugs in from home. Same session, under 35ms, tight enough to lock in together.

What the Lutefish Stream is
Lutefish lets a band rehearse together in real time from different locations. Each musician plugs an instrument into their own Lutefish Stream and a wired internet connection. Latency stays under 35ms, so timing and feel hold together the way they don't on a video call.
Buy NowHow much latency does Lutefish have
Under 35ms of latency. Timing and feel hold up the way they don't on a video call.
Why each musician needs their own Stream
One Stream per musician keeps the sound studio-clean, no bottlenecks, no one person's connection dragging the whole session down.
What you can plug in
Two input channels, connect an instrument and a mic at once. Built for playing, not for talking.

FAQ
Can a band rehearse together online without lag?
Yes, with the right setup. Lutefish keeps latency under 35ms on a wired connection, fast enough that timing and feel hold together. Video calls run far higher, which is why playing together on them falls apart.
How far apart can we be?
For the tightest feel, stay within about 500 miles of each other. In that range, latency stays under 35ms. Bands can play from farther apart when everyone's internet is solid. One band rehearses between Michigan and New Orleans.
What internet do I need?
A wired connection, cable or fiber, with at least 50 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload. Wi-Fi alone will not work. Check your compatibility in 30s.
Do I need one Stream per person?
Yes. Each musician plays through their own Stream, which keeps the audio clean and stops one connection from dragging down the session.
How do drummers, keys and vocalists plug in?
Each Stream has two combo XLR/¼" inputs and a line/instrument switch, so you can run a mic and an instrument at the same time. If you need more than two inputs, like a miked drum kit, plug your mixer into the Stream.
What does it cost for a band?
$249 per Stream plus $9.99 per month per member. A four-piece is $996 in hardware and $39.96 a month.
Do I have to pay monthly? What happens if I stop?
Your first two months are included with your Stream. After that, live jamming costs $9.99 a month per member. You need an active subscription to jam live, but the Musician Network stays free, including the community and 500 MB of recording storage. If your band takes a break, you can pause your subscription instead of canceling.
What if it doesn't work for my band?
Send it back. You have 60 days from purchase to return your Stream for a full refund, and it comes with a 1-year warranty. To start a return, email support@lutefish.com.
Can we record our sessions?
Yes. You can record audio only, video plus audio, or separate stems (stems are in beta). Each recording holds up to an hour of playback.
How long does setup take?
Most members are up and running in minutes. Plug the Stream into your router and into power, add it to your account, and wait for the light to turn solid blue. The first time, the Stream may spend some time updating before it's ready, so set it up before rehearsal night.
Your next show is coming whether you're ready or not.
