The device sends your audio into the session over a direct Ethernet connection, so each location needs dedicated hardware to join and stay in sync.
Your connection type matters more than raw speed. Lutefish requires low-latency and jitter which is only reliably achieved on cable and fiber internet connections.
Lutefish's speed requirements are minimal at about 50Mbps download speed and 10Mbps upload speed. Most cable and fiber internet plans are sufficient.
