Lutefish Tech Talk: Individual Mix
Share
Make your sound your own with individual mix + check out the new in-session tutorial.
Tight control over your incoming audio can make or break a session. Lutefish's new individual mix feature gives you just that: easy level control over each musician's incoming audio, without affecting what anyone else hears.
We've also launched a new tutorial to help you navigate sessions, available right in the platform. Let's review!
Individual Mix
Setting your personal audio levels for every member in a session is simple. First, navigate to the mixer tab.

For every member in a session, there is an orange slider labeled "Only You," and that is the slider you use to adjust your personal audio levels.

Need to turn down the drummer or give the vocalist a boost? Just navigate to their slider in your session mixer and set the levels to taste. Just make sure to adjust the "only you" slider if you don't want to affect the mix for everyone.
Session Tutorial
Our new live tutorial teaches you the Lutefish setup and mixer basics right from the session window. This is super useful for new users, but even if you're a Lutefish pro, it never hurts to have a quick recap of the controls.

The tutorial automatically starts during your first session, but you can also re-activate it at any time from the session menu.
To restart the tutorial, click the three dots in the mixer toolbar and select Restart Walkthrough.

That wraps up this week's tech tips. Check back next week when we'll be going over Livestream and how to get the most out of it.
