Lutefish Keeps the Creative Energy Alive in Remote Rehearsals

With Jason Herndon

Writing and recording music has become more efficient and frequent for Jason Herndon after discovering Lutefish. Jason Herndon is a guitarist, producer, songwriter, and independent artist, specializing in Americana, Roots Rock, and Alternative Country music. Working with musicians across multiple locations, Lutefish allows him to connect with them and make more music every day.

Herndon has a lifelong background in guitar, recording, and songwriting, but has since evolved to focus on his own artistry. He produces and releases his music as an independent artist, collaborating with connections he made touring and in the studio. His most recent single, “Party of One,” is a product of such.

As an independent artist, staying connected creatively wasn’t always easy. The creatives he works with spread across Tennessee, Alabama, and other parts of the U.S. Using laggy software made it difficult to rehearse or write music together. File sharing was great for sending ideas, but it never quite captured the magic of actually playing together.

“I needed a better way to create music remotely. Lutefish stood out because of its ability to create real-time musical interaction that feels close to being in the same room,” Herndon shared.

Lutefish is the perfect fit for Jason. Designed to work seamlessly within a 500-mile radius, the device allows Jason and his collaborators to rehearse, co-write, and develop songs live without sacrificing time or feel.

“It’s especially useful for working out guitar parts, song structure changes, and pre-production decisions,” he expressed, “Instead of waiting until everyone can travel, the band can build the song live online and show up to recording sessions fully prepared.”

The time savings alone make a difference, cutting out hours on the road. But more importantly, the ability to schedule shorter, more frequent sessions has transformed his creative process. “That consistency really helps keep songs evolving instead of sitting unfinished,” Herdon emphasized.

That steady momentum is already showing up in his recent releases. You can find him on all major streaming platforms and follow him on social media for updates. Check out more on Jason Herndon here: jasonherndon.komi.io

For artists who refuse to let geography slow the groove, Lutefish is changing what’s possible. Jason Herndon is proof, writing, rehearsing, and releasing music without waiting for miles to close the gap.
